Staying in the heart of the old town, where winding lanes are dotted with old churches, Dutch-colonial buildings and charming boutiques makes this hotel a consistent favourite of those who visit. the excellent location, guests can enjoy a comfortable room with minimal decor, tasty homemade breakfast, and friendly caretakers. One review even mentions having some of the best egg hoppers in the area while staying at this hotel. It is easy to see why this hotel receives so many positive reviews and is highly recommended by past guests.
The hotel is not equipped with an on-site restaurant, so guests will have to leave the hotel to indulge in their food cravings.

Spent New Year at a beautiful colonial villa in the heart of an old town. Perfect location for exploring nearby shops and cafes. The caretaker was friendly and provided an excellent breakfast with unique spiced coffee and delicious curries. The villa was clean, well-maintained, and offered great value for the price.
The bed in the smaller room wasn't as comfortable as the larger room. However, given the affordable price, it was a minor inconvenience. It would have been nicer to have fresh fruit instead of juice cordial for breakfast. it was an enjoyable experience and I would recommend this place to budget travelers who want to enjoy the local charm of Sri Lanka.

The location of this colonial villa was spot on, right in the heart of the historical area. We enjoyed the halal breakfast offered, which included the best egg hoppers we had in Sri Lanka, along with spiced coffee and juices. The caretaker was very helpful and friendly, giving us good recommendations and answering our queries promptly.
The service fee charged upon arrival was not previously mentioned, and the caretaker added a "city tax" that was not part of the original bill, which was not appreciated. The bathroom did not have hot water upon arrival, and there was an issue with the water tank, which made it inconvenient to have to ask for water each time we needed it.
